A fresh, unique take on traditional Kukicha, this blend delivers a sweet and tart cup of tea. Yuzu, a type of Japanese citrus, perfectly compliments the richer, sweeter nature of Kukicha. Kukicha differs from other traditional green teas in that it comes from the stems and twigs of the plant, rather than the leaves. This lends the tea a nutty, somewhat earthy flavour. Yuzu, high in vitamin C like most citrus, brings a fresh zestiness that elevates the earthy tones of the Kukicha.
Kukicha is packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and polyphenols, the same compounds in the green tea leaves which are known to help fight cancer. Additionally, Kukicha helps aid in producing bile, which stimulates the digestive processes, combats heavy fatigue, and helps with detoxification while alkalizing the body.
