Named after the Hindi word for drop, "boondh", Boondi Laddus are made from little drops of golden fried besan, or boondi. Full of flavour and rich with the ghee the boondi are fried in, Boondi Ladoos are packed with dry fruits... mainly cashew and raisins (kaju-kismis). This traditional sweet is an integral part of all major Indian festivals, and is even offered as Tirupati prasadam these days!
