Indian Gift Hampers
A gift hamper from India is not really a box of sweets. It is proof you remembered, sent from the place the food actually comes from. Here is what to send for every occasion, and how it reaches them.
Every occasion, one place
The biggest gifting moment of the year. Assorted mithai boxes and dry-fruit hampers, sent to one address or several. Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November.
Naivedyam boxes with modak, motichur laddu and boorelu, plus a free silver Bappa with every order this season.
The one occasion where you genuinely are sending, not buying for yourself. Sweet boxes with a hand-tied rakhi and a note.
Large assorted boxes and 1kg trays. Kaju katli, badam ki jali and dry-fruit mithai are the traditional choices for a shagun box.
Laddus are the customary sweet for both. Motichur for a griha pravesh, sunnunda for a new mother.
One delivery address, lots of 25, 50, 70 or 150 boxes at $22.50 each, with your logo and message on every greeting card.
Sheer khurma ingredients, dates, jouzi halwa and dry-fruit boxes. Our biggest festival by revenue after Diwali.
A box of what they actually miss beats a card. Most people send a mixed basket rather than one sweet.
What goes in a good hamper
A hamper that lands well has three things: a milk sweet people recognise, something with dry fruit that signals occasion, and a namkeen so the box is not relentlessly sweet. Kaju katli or badam ki jali, a dry-fruit assortment, and chegodi or karaampoosa is the combination most families settle on.
Avoid single-sweet boxes unless you know exactly what they like. The median Desify order has eight items, because people build a basket rather than pick one thing.
Sending to one address or many
Each order ships to a single address, so several recipients means several orders. If you are sending 25 boxes or more to one place, corporate lots work out at $22.50 a box against $25 compare, with your logo and message on every greeting card.
Timing
Three to five business days to the USA, Canada and Australia, two to three to the UK. Order a week ahead of the occasion. For Diwali 2026, which falls on Sunday 8 November, order by 4 November.
Questions people ask
What is included in an Indian gift hamper?
Typically an assortment of mithai, dry fruits and namkeen in a presentation box. Desify hampers are built from named makers such as Almond House, Dadu's, Vellanki Foods and G. Pulla Reddy rather than generic wholesale sweets.
Can I send an Indian gift hamper to the USA from India?
Yes. Commercially packaged, shelf-stable hampers clear US customs routinely and arrive in three to five business days by DHL Express with duties prepaid, so the recipient is never billed.
