ORGANIC COCONUT BUTTER, creamed

NOTE: Because our coconut butter contains no additives or emulsifiers it can become separated. If the pulp has settled to the bottom and oil has formed on top, warm the product in it's container in a hot water bath (changing water as needed to maintain heat) until product reaches 24C and is mixable. Stir by hand or with a handheld or stand mixer (do not use an emersion blender), until well combined. Cool in the fridge to prevent the oil from separating again. Whencooled completely it can be removed from the fridge and kept at room temperature.

Qualities:coconut butter is simply fresh coconut meat that has beendried and ground into a smooth and creamy spreadable paste.
Coconut contains no cholesterol or trans fats but is pretty high in saturated fat (9g/Tbsp) and is appreciated for a number of essential nutrients, including dietary fiber (about 2g/Tbsp), potassium, manganese, phosphorus, iron, copper, and selenium.
Common Use:coconut butter makes a delicious spread all by itself or combined with another nut butter (try a blend with hazelnut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder,vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt for a homemade version of Nutella). It lends extra creaminessto raw chocolate or energy bars, delicious when melted over sweet potatoes or roasted winter squash, mixed into curries as a coconut milk replacement, blended into smoothies, or spooned straight from thejar as a satisfying snack.
Storage: Store in a sealed container at roomtemperature for a spreadable consistency. Refrigeration will harden the butter but is recommended for longterm storage.
